Amkor Secures $400M in CHIPS Funding for New Arizona Facility

The Commerce Department has awarded Amkor Technology Inc. up to $400 million in funding and $200 million in loans under the CHIPS and Science Act. This investment will support the establishment of Amkor's first U.S.-based semiconductor assembly and test facility in Peoria, Arizona. The $2 billion facility will package and test chips from Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Co., with Apple as its largest customer.
